Virgin America has started selling tickets to their newest destination. Tickets are now on sale for passengers wanting to travel between Seattle and both San Francisco and Los Angeles. VA will offer 3 daily non-stops between Seattle and San Francisco starting in March, and 3 daily non-stops between Seattle and Los Angeles starting in April.
"We are excited to begin flying to one of the largest and most important travel cities in the nation and we hope that the residents of Seattle will embrace the innovative features we are bringing to the market," said Virgin America President and Chief Executive Officer David Cush.
Virgin America's SFO-SEA fares start at $77 one way in the main cabin, while LAX-SEA fares start at $99 one way in the main cabin.
Virgin will face some established competition on the route with Alaska and United both running frequent services. Both Alaska and United currently offer 7+ non-stop flights and numerous connecting flights on the route. Maybe the impressive new planes and service will be enough to steal a few customers.
