United Airlines is said to be working closely with Apple to seamlessly adapt their in-flight entertainment system to work with iPods. The Chicago based company has been working with Apple to allow passengers to access their music and video content and play them on the airline's 15.4-inch widescreen monitors.
Apple has also been working closely with various other airlines to ensure "seamless integration" between iPods and in-flight entertainment systems.
Currently United only plans on offering the iPod adaptors to their premium passengers, meaning first and business class.
On United mainline flights, the airline does offer up a line up of XM radio stations but who wants to hear the same 20 songs for a cross country flight? Let's hope they at least move the ability to plug in your iPod to ExPlus seating but I'm not going to hold my breathe on that one.
