The on-time arrival numbers are out for the month of October and it looks to be good for one Denver hub airline while the other airline continues to sink.
Denver based Frontier Airlines (FRNT) proved to be the best on-time performer for the month of October on the mainland. Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines ranked 1st and 2nd respectively. Frontier Airlines completed 84.39 percent of their flights within the 14 minutes of schedule arrival times.
This boasts well for the airline as they continue to improve operations and keep themselves separated from the rest of the low cost carriers. The airline has faced increased competition in Denver and has issues diversifying past their main hub market of Denver. Frontier recently scaled back attempts at launching a semi secondary operation city in Memphis and instead has shifted some of those routes to their low cost carrier partner AirTran Airways.
This continued high ranking in on-time performances plays right into some of their new ad campaigns where Frontier is courting more business travelers. Frontier touts their recent ranking as the number one low cost carrier in North America, their award winning frequent flier program and of course their on-time performances.
