Cessna announced that they will begin manufacturing the new Cessna 162 Skycatcher in China's state-owned Shenyang Aircraft factories. 

The Skycatcher, which is designed for pilot training and recreational usage, will retail for $70,000+ less than if the plane was manufactured in Kansas.  Cessna says that some Chinese training schools have already ordered 900 of the aircraft. 

Cessna plans on relying completely on Shenyang Aircraft to build the aircraft, unlike Airbus or Boeing that has just some parts built in China.

Cessna will provide on-site quality inspections and oversee the manufacturing process.  Cessna adds that the new partnership with Shenyang Aircraft will not result in any job loss for Cessna employees in the United States.
