The first time that passengers will get to board the A380 with Singapore Airlines will be on board a sold out flight between Singapore and Sydney on October 25th.
The Singapore layout on their first aircraft will hold 497 passengers but could be configured in some cases to seat upwards of 800 people. First class passengers on this aircraft have some of the nicest features including large completely lie flat beds. Business travelers are even treated to 34 inches of width in the seats.
Airbus has logged 189 orders or firm commitments for the plane, and says that number may exceed 200 by year’s end.
