On one of her last day on the job, Federal Aviation Administrator, Marion Blakey is not holding back words for the industry. She continues a long line of administrators that have failed to overhaul the FAA and provide the traveling public with a system with less delays and more productivity.
But Blakey is coming under fire after accepting the position of president and CEO at Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) that will begin in November. The AIA represents firms awarded contracts to the FAA during Blakey’s tenure. In recent weeks the FAA has awarded some $1.8 billion in contracts.
However, many are just glad to see her go; myself included.
