
In a set back for The Boeing Company (BA), they had to push back the testing phase for the 787 by several months. Boeing was hoping their 787 Dreamliner would be ready for testing in late August; however, the new target dates estimate to be near late November.
Scott Carson, chief executive of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said the first flight will be pushed well into the fall because of delays in completing assembly of the first plane and in finalizing flight-control software.
Boeing is quick to say that the delivery date to their first customer All Nippon Airways will be on time near year. Boeing does not want the same issues that Airbus has been encountering with their A380 aircraft.
Let's see if their new dates stick.
