Delta Air Lines (DAL) quietly raised non-fuel related fees for their passengers last week.  The airline raised fees ranging from $10 to $25 more.  The move is inline with many other carriers that have raised their fees recently. 

Delta Air Line’s biggest competitor in Atlanta, AirTran Airways will raise their ticket change fee starting October 1^st. 

Some of the raised fees are in association with Delta’s push to drive more services towards their website which helps keep costs down for the airline.  People booking over the phone can now tack on an additional $20 to their ticket price.  But this is not new to the industry. 

Delta did not inform most travelers because these were already standing policies at the airline and were just adjustments to the policies.
