Virgin America is one step closer to flying. The airline received approval from the Department of Transporation to start selling tickets for their first flight sometime in August.
Current VA CEO Fred Reid said, "We're eager to bring this exciting new airline to the flying public. We've got an incredible team of people, brand-new planes with some fun, innovative features that we hope people will love. We can't wait to welcome our first guests when we start flying later this summer."
Virgin America has 10 Airbus A319/A320's, is fully staffed, and ready to start advertising right now.
VA promises to give innovative guest features aimed at bringing fun back to flying. And we all know that's what the industry needs right now.
