More news from the Virgin America front. The airline in partnership with EchoStar Communications Corporation the parent company of Dish Network, introduced their 18 channel programming package.
Some of the popular channels include: CNBC, A&E, BET, CNN, The Discovery Channel, E!, FX, The Food Network, The Travel Channel, Bravo, ESPN, ESPN NEWS, ESPN Classic, the Cartoon Network and many more.
"We hope that our Red In-flight Entertainment system will provide a fresh, easy-to-use and personalized entertainment experience for our guests, and DISH Network(tm)'s participation will allow us to deliver the type of full-spectrum, interactive experience that we want for our customers,'' said Charles Ogilvie, Virgin America's Director of In-flight Entertainment & Partnerships.
This entertainment system is something that Virgin America says sets its airline apart from the competition, including Southwest Airlines and JetBlue Airways which recently matched fares on some routes out of San Francisco.
