BREAKING NEWS
A TAM airline Airbus A320 skidded off a runway at Sao Paulo's Congonhas Airport. All 176 people on board are feared dead. Witnesses said the plane skidded across a major road at rush hour in South America's biggest city and slid into a gas station resulting in a major fire.
The Sao Paulo fire department said at least 200 people, including some on the ground, were dead at the scene.
Weather may have played an issue. The TAM aircraft slid off the runway during heavy rains on a runway that lacks runway grooving after being recently repaired.
