American Airlines (AMR) wasted no time upgrading their services to
Also American announced that they will move their Raleigh/Durham to Gatwick service to Heathrow beginning in March 2008. Jim Carter, American's Vice President -- Eastern Sales Division said, "There are just slightly more than a dozen cities in the United States that can claim nonstop service to London Heathrow. It's definitely a 'feather in the cap' of any area to be able to say it is a gateway to London Heathrow."
All of the new services are expected to be in place in March 2008.

Wow -- shock and amazement! AA actually threw a bone out to DFW (but only after BA stepped up and announced they were moving their DFW/LON service to LHR 10 days earlier). It's such a shame that DFW's hometown airline isn't committed to growing it as say, DL is to ATL. Oh yeah, and that DFW/PEK service that we had been promised after the Love Field fiasco was resolved and Terminal D opened? Yep, ORD once again instead. DFW needs to get busy and find an international airline that is willing to support DFW instead of taking it for granted like AA does.
