Just three months after adding St. Louis to their line up of growing cities, AirTran Airways is expanding their operations in the gateway city. On early strong demand, AirTran Airways will add Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport starting November 15th.
AirTran spokesman, Dave Hirschman said, "The St. Louis service has really caught on fast. We're very encouraged by the growth there, and when we see that kind of growth, we want to add service."
Introductory fares are expected to be set at $89 on way. A quick price check in mid November puts AirTran near $200 roundtrip and US Airways, Continental and others over $500 for a round trip ticket.
