It does not look like Aussies like their home town airline in a recent survey.  Qantas Airways, the national carrier of Australia was ranked the lowest international carrier in a survey that measures a variety of areas including value for money, convenience, booking processes, check-in procedures and in-flight services, entertainment, seat comfort, leg room and cleanliness.

Qantas’ low cost carrier, JetStar, ranked lowest in the domestic market.  Rex, a regional carrier for Australia ranked the highest followed by Virgin Blue in the domestic market.

One note, customer satisfaction on this survey was heavily focused on customer relations.  Singapore and Emirates ranked the highest in the Australian survey.

At least one Australian editorialist is placing Qantas above United, where he describes his most recent trip on United.  This might be the next wave in weight loss programs… flying United. 

The Australian
