The pilots union's executive council unanimously approved a resolution voting “no confidence” in Northwest Airline’s management team. 

More specifically the union says that staffing shortages this summer will lead to flight delays and cancellations.

 

However, with all this bad press about the airline, it is only detracting from the “good” news of their exit from bankruptcy.  All this bad press continues to weigh on the passengers.  With passengers hearing about possible flight cancellations because of short staffing it might change a few minds about the carrier they fly.  But those few travelers that chose another airline will not make a significant impact on NWA’s bottom line. 

The horrible tension between management and their employees is not likely to get any better anytime soon. 

Northwest Airline’s board stands behind the CEO of the airline, Doug Steenland.  Something that a lot of their employees do not support.
