Who was actually shocked when Consumer Reports released their latest customer satisfaction survey? I was not. The bottom five airlines included two recently bankrupt airlines and two airlines that merged. The bottom five airlines include:
Northwest, American Eagle, United, America West and US Airways
United Airline’s spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said, "We clearly know we need to do a better job at giving customers services they expect, and work is under way to make this a priority.”
However, on the flip side, low cost carriers took top honors. The airlines rated high in comfort, on-time performance and overall service. The top five include:
JetBlue Airways, Midwest, Southwest, Frontier and Hawaiian.
To be fair, the survey was conducted before the Valentine’s Day meltdown with JetBlue Airways however, the airline still rates very high in traveler’s minds.
Do you agree with the standings?
