"Virgin America's tentative plan involves 'several' Canadian cities" and it looks as if Calgary could be on Virgin America's scope. Don Carty, chairman of Virgin America, was in Calgary this past Thursday.
Calgary has just the sort of vibrant business market of interest to Virgin America, which he referred to as "JetBlue on steroids," in terms of customer service, Carty said.
Virgin is expected to begin flying from their home hub airport in San Francisco to New York in July. Other destinations are expected to follow shortly afterwards.
Other Canadian cities could include Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Toronto.
