
Some news routes have been announced by some airlines. It looks as if airlines are shifting some domestic routes over to the international scene. Quite a few of the new routes are to international resort locations.
On September 5th, American Airlines will offer non-stop service between New York's JFK and Las Vegas with a Boeing 757. The new route brings AA's totally flights to LAS to 11 daily.
Delta Air Lines will continue to expand their Los Angeles flights with a daily flight, except Wednesdays, to Leon, Mexico. The flights will begin July 1st and will be using a Delta Connection partner, ExpressJet.
The Ultra Low Cost Carrier, Spirit Airlines, will begin another service to Latin America. New serivce to Managua, Nicaragu. To kick off service that begins August 2nd, Spirit Airlines is offering, "Introductory coach fares between Fort Lauderdale and Managua, Nicaragua start at 8 cents each way when purchased at spiritair.com by May 24, 2007 for travel on select dates. Spirit Airlines will also offer fares starting at $8 each way on additional dates when purchased at spiritair.com by May 24, 2007."

Frontier Airlines will begin service to San Jose, Costa Rica on November 30th. Introductory fares start at just under $300 roundtrip from Denver on Frontier's A319 aircraft.
AirTran Airways has been given permission to begin flights between Atlanta and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. AirTran Airways has been asked to start services by August 1st after Spirit Airlines ended their Reagan-Detriot run.
