After a rough fourth quarter, Frontier Airlines Holdings Inc., (FRNT) the parent company of Frontier Airlines, is looking towards the future as they recently received permission from the federal government to begin their Lynx regional service later this summer. Frontier will be able to fly up to 10 aircraft under the Lynx name and has the option to add more aircraft after giving the government notice.
Frontier has yet to announce any of the cities that Lynx will serve but
Frontier is doing the right thing though. They are looking beyond major cities in the US. They are trying new cities and new routes. They recently announced non-stop destinations from Memphis without connecting through Denver. And their new routes outside the US seem to be a hit. Mexico has been very nice to Frontier.
