
Compass Airlines has been given Federal Aviation Administration certification. The airline which will fly between Minneapolis and Washington D.C. will begin service in early May. Northwest expects Compass to add 10 new 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft this year and will include 36 aircraft by the end of 2008.
Compass Airlines will operate like Mesaba and Pinnacle Airlines under the "Northwest Airlink" name and be operated by Northwest Chief Financial Officer Neal Cohen.
Compass currently has 15 job openings ranging from pilot to maintenance management mostly based in Chantilly, VA.
