
This could be another blow for Airbus and their monster of a project the A380. United Parcel Service Inc., (UPS), has pushed back their delivery of their 10 Airbus A380 orders and left an option in the contract to cancel the order.
When Airbus announced a third delay on the giant plane due to wiring problems, putting it two years behind schedule, many companies scaled back or cancelled orders. FedEX pulled their orders from the European Aircraft manufacture after years of delays and problems.
Earlier this month, UPS ordered 27 of Boeing's smaller 767-300ER freighter aircraft, worth about $3.8 billion at list prices. Boeing has been pushing their revamped 747-800 jumbo freighter to companies, such as FedEx and Emirates.
