Are the trans-Atlantic skies getting too crowded these days? Another budget business airline is joining the ranks, however the destination is slightly different than the others with services from Newark's Liberty International Airport to Paris' Orly Airport.
L'Avion will operate Boeing 757-200s that will accommodate 90 Business-Class passengers, in planes with a capacity of 200. With round-trip tickets start at $2,118, which runs roughly 1,000 less than AirFrance, the start up looks to be in line with the others in the budget business model. L'Avion will also offer complementary French meals and wine on-board.
This looks to be like a trend for trans-Atlantic flights. Business based models that keep fares low but offer the business traveller that extra few touches instead of taking the traditional British Airways, American Airlines, and AirFrance to Europe. With the sucess of MaxJet and Eos, the skies might get a bit more crowded.
