
Tom Wychor, chairman of the Air Line Pilots Association, said he was "outraged" by the ruling. "We do not agree in the least with this ruling and we intend to continue to fight for ratified consensual agreements ... on all legal fronts," Wychor said.
Carla Rogat of the Association of Flight Attendants said she was extremely disappointed. "However, it's not over. It's just beginning," Rogat said. "It will be appealed and it will be a black fog that clouds their restructuring."
The hostility in their voices and speech is clearly evident. The employees are not happy about this ruling and have said they will appeal.
For now, Mesaba stays in the air. This battle between the two groups is far from over. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the week and especially Thursday, when the cuts are imposed, goes.
