'We would welcome the competition, but we're asking that the process to return those slots be fair,' said United Airlines spokeswoman Megan McCarthy.
JetBlue's letter to the FAA, dated Sept. 28, did not specify which destinations it would serve from O'Hare. Baldwin declined to comment on potential routes.
I can probably imagine at least one route would be back to their New York hub, but other routes would probably include destinations to Florida and probably some of their California destinations. If the FAA approves the request, the airline must then negotiate a lease with the city for space at O'Hare. There may be space in Terminal 2. America West has told the city it doesn't need its gate since it merged with US Airways. This could be just right for the airline.

I LOVE JET BLUE
I WOLD LIKE TO GET A JOB IN THIS COMPANY
HOW TO DO IT.
