Around 400 new pilots will be needed in China alone each year for many years to come because of the recent explosion of the Chinese economy. They are buying more planes and offering more flights, so in turn they need more pilots.
If Air China decides to train with the University of North Dakota, graduates of the program will have the chance to train or be hired in China because of a recent certification that the CAAC gave the program. (CAAC is the Chinese equivalent to the FAA.)
