A Homeland Security Department official, said that most liquids and gels that air travelers purchase in secure areas of airports will now be allowed on planes. That means that passengers will be able to drink their morning latte or grab that needed bottle of eye drops for the flight. Still it brings up the question, how secure are the products coming in past security? Are they screened as well?
A press conference at 11am (8am Pacific) at Reagan National Airport will annouce the new rules.
