The AFA said in a statement that it has asked the National Mediation Board to release it from mediation.
to strike is the only tool working women and men have to counter the greed of management that is eroding corporations across America – it’s the one thing that forces management to negotiate fairly.”
If the National Mediation Board stops then the two parties will go to arbitration, if nothing is resolved there, then each side must cool off for 30 days, and then the AFA says they have the legal right to strike.
The flight attendants are using every effort to get their point across to management that they are serious about these forced pay cuts. However, has the union thought about their other unions too? If striking is the only way to get across their point, will it affect more than them too? Will it cause the airline to stop flying and then ground all employees just not them?
