Well the International Air Transportation Association believes that the world governments should pick up the costs of security at the airports.
Bisignani said airlines faced combined extra security costs of USD$5.6 billion a year since September 11, 2001 and governments had to shoulder part of the responsibility.
"Most of the security problems with which we are confronted are not directly linked to air traffic. National security comes under the responsibility of governments. They should therefore assume the responsibility for the bill."
So what do you think? Should the government here in the US pick up more of the costs of screening people? Should there be a tax on fliers? Should airport operators take more responsibility in footing the bill when it comes to security? What do you think?
