MSNBC is reporting that a US Airways flight from Philadelphia to Houston was forced to land in Bristol, TN
Flight 3441, an EMB 170, operated by Republic Airways for US Airways stopped because a note was found that may have sugguested a bomb like device aboard.
Threatening notes were reported to be on the plane. More news as it becomes known.
It seems as if there are more and more threats and security scares aboard our planes lately. As everyone knows the anniversary of September 11th is just around the corner, and the thwarted attacks from London to the US, are causing flight crews to be even more vigilant in their decision making.
Fake notes and security scares are a federal offense and will result in excessive fines of $250,000 or more and jail time as much as 10 years or more.
