Delta Air Lines Increases International Economy Services
Delta Air Lines is apparently learning that the key to keeping passengers on their planes is to offer just more an a seat to their destination.  International passengers on Delta's trans-Atlantic flights to Europe and flights to India in coach will be receiving more services.  Delta passengers will get printed menus, cocktails, snacks other than dinner and a personal amenity kit.  With more American carriers trying to make profits, they have been focusing on international destinations because there are no low cost carriers to compete with, however, American carriers have to compete with World carriers that can offer better services to those international destinations.

"We're adding extras that will make our worldwide customers' travel time on Delta even more enjoyable," said Joan Vincenz, Delta's managing director of Product Marketing. "A lot of airlines only think about making improvements to the elite cabins. We care about making the experience better for everyone --no matter where they're seated on our airplanes and no matter where they're flying."

Delta's new mid-flight snack service will offer customers:

 -- On flights from the United States to Europe, a choice of grilled
cheese crackers, peanuts, Biscoff cookies and Sunchips(r);
-- On flights from Europe to the United States, a vanilla ice cream
cup; and
-- On flights to and from India, a choice of Toblerone chocolates,
shortbread cookies, nuts or snack mix

These in-flight upgrades complement Delta's introduction of an improved international BusinessElite(r) experience with more comfortable all-leather seats, digital on-demand entertainment at every seat, and a new personal dining experience on select international flights created exclusively for BusinessElite customers by celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein. In addition, all international customers can check-in using new self-service kiosk technology with passport scanning capability at Delta's Atlanta, Cincinnati and New York-JFK international gateways.
