A woman apparently died on a Delta Air Lines flight from Fort Lauderdale to Salt Lake City, an airline spokesman said Tuesday.

During the flight on Sunday, the woman's husband told flight attendants that his wife was unresponsive. Paramedics met Delta flight 503, which had 125 people aboard, when it landed at Salt Lake City International Airport, said Delta spokesman Anthony Black in Atlanta.

Paramedics moved the woman to the jetway, where they tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate her, Black said. Black said he could release no information about the woman, including her name.

The case was turned over to the state medical examiner in Salt Lake City, which did not return a call seeking comment. The couple was en route to Reno, Nev., Black said.
