Know More:
When I told my friends that I was going to see the movie, United 93, today, I got responses along the lines of, why are you going to see that? It's way to early! And I have to admit, maybe it was too early for some, but for others it is might not be.
In our little college town, it was surprising to see so many college students out watching the movie. The show was sold out for the 7pm showing and a nearly sold out for the 9.30pm showing. A quiet audience. A somber mood afterwords.
I recommend that you go and see it, though I will not force you. A purly fact based movie without any high profile Hollywood stunts or magic. No extra filler. Just plain, straight, raw facts. At times it was a bit overwhelming. And I have to admit, I was teared up at the end. I knew what was coming yet I held out some sort of hope that something would change and the people would be okay.
My friend, Anne who went with me said, "It's the only movie that I sat curled up in a ball, hugging myself, trying not to cry. I thought it was a very honest movie, without any Hollywood glam or fillers."
